I set the following three problems for this year’s ACM/ICPC SWJTU Team Selection Contest.
Remove Stones
Description
Bearman made acquaintance with Zhk when Zhk was a freshman. Zhk is one of the smartest student bearman knows here. Zhk pursues what he loves firmly and continuously. But 766, who known as a top coder, doesn’t agree with bearman. He finds a really hard game to test Zhk’s mathematical thinking.
The game begins with n sequences of stones. There are m_i (1 <= i <= n) stones in each sequence. The player can choose one sequence and remove one or more stones from that sequence in each turn. Zhk is younger, so 766 let him remove first. The player who removes the last stone(s) wins the game.
Fill Stones
Description
Bearman is in his senior year now. He loves doing academic research. So he tries to apply for some PhD programs. Prof. L is one of the most active scholar in his research field. Bearman dreams of being Prof. L’s PhD student. Prof. L emailed a puzzle to bearman and wrote, “If you can solve it before this weekend, I’ll give you an offer”. Could you give bearman some help?
Prof. L gave bearman n boxes. Initially, there were a_i (1 <= i <= n) stones in each box. Every time bearman can choose m boxes (m <= n) from the n boxes arbitrarily and fill one stone in each box. Bearman repeats this operation until every box contains the same number of stones. Bearman suspects if he can finish with equal number of stones in every box. Could you give him some hints?
Throw Stones
Description
Bearman was good at solving physics problems when he was a high school student. He even reads some physics problem-solving books now, although physics does nothing with his major. Kinetics is a good source of interesting problems. Things simple as throwing stones in the air can be a puzzling problem.
First, bearman throws a stone at the height of h meters. Fivestar, who is also an ACMer, catches it at the height of f meters. Fivestar observes that when he catches the stone the speed of the stones is v meter/sec; the direction of the motion of the stone and the horizontal line forms a j degrees angle. Then how far is bearman away from fivestar?

To select this year's ACM/ICPC SWJTU Team, we will be holding a selection contest with the following three problems. The third problem is to find the smallest set of points that covers a given set of points.
